Principal's Message

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe (by Anatole France).

Riverside Primary School was established in January 2013, welcoming 8 classes of P1 students. Since then, the school has experienced significant growth, with a current student enrollment of nearly 1300 students spanning 6 levels from P1 to P6.

In 2016, MOE Kindergarten @ Riverside (MK@Riverside) was established. This initiative aims to provide affordable, high-quality education to Singaporeans while also serving as a platform for piloting teaching and learning resources to be shared with the pre-school sector. To date, MK@Riverside has achieved a healthy enrollment of approximately 290 children, supported by a staff of 24 dedicated professionals.

At Riverside Primary, we firmly believe in the unique potential of every child and their ability to learn and succeed. We recognize the transformative power of education, and our team of passionate educators is committed to inspiring a love for learning in each student. We strive to foster an environment that nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and a thirst for knowledge. By igniting a passion for learning, our goal is to equip our students with the necessary skills and tools to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

To achieve this, we believe that learning should be a joyful and purposeful experience. Our dedicated teachers work tirelessly to create engaging and interactive lessons that spark joy and curiosity in our students. We encourage them to explore their passions, pursue their interests, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning. Our ultimate aim is to empower our students to become self-motivated learners who find purpose and meaning in their educational journey.

We firmly hold the belief that education encompasses more than just academic achievements; it is about shaping well-rounded individuals of character. We are committed to nurturing moral and ethical values that will guide our students throughout their lives. Our comprehensive character and citizenship education (CCE) programmes instill qualities that align with our school’s SPAKLE Values. We are dedicated to helping our students develop into responsible citizens who contribute positively to society and their communities.

Riverside Primary School is more than just a place of learning; it is a vibrant community built on collaboration and support. We place great emphasis on building strong relationships among students, parents, and staff. By fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity, we create a safe and nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated. Our school motto, “Learning Together, Growing Together, Sparkling Together,” encapsulates our vision of creating an inviting school environment that excites our Riverians about learning, reinforces their self-belief, and instills a lifelong passion for knowledge. Our ultimate aim is to prepare them for the future and empower them to become connected citizens of good character. This is our unwavering belief and our mission at Riverside Primary.
